They had a private lesson for Japanese Calligraphy shodo in my studio. The boy is 8 years old and the girl is 11 years old. The two study Chinese, so they knew some Kanji. They enjoyed writing Kanji with a calligraphy brush. I was surprised that 8 yrs boy wrote a very difficult Kanji "鼠 (mouse)" with a small brush!
